Our Story

Town Family Doctor in Prospect, KY, provides a unique and highly personalized approach to primary care, proudly serving the surrounding communities of Louisville, Northfield, and Crestwood since 2008. Founded by Dr. Vedad Seremet, a physician with over thirty years of medical experience in both Europe and the United States, the practice focuses on delivering the kind of attentive, thorough care that modern healthcare often lacks. Dr. Seremet earned his medical degree from the Medical School of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, practicing there until and during the war. After moving to the U.S., he completed his Family Practice Residency at the University of Louisville, serving as chief resident, and went on to spend 15 years with Norton Immediate Care Centers before opening his own practice.

At Town Family Doctor, our concierge medicine model ensures longer appointment times, fewer patients, and a deeper doctor–patient connection. This approach allows us to provide higher-quality care, tailored to each individual, without the rush of traditional offices. We welcome patients from seven days old through the senior years, but do not provide chronic pain management or pregnancy care. Our goal is to be your trusted health partner, offering medical guidance, prevention, and treatment in a comfortable, relationship-focused setting.

The practice also benefits from the expertise of Nurse Practitioner Dzanan Gusic (Johnny), Dr. Seremet’s son. Holding a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Spalding University and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisville, Dzanan has worked in specialized units including SICU, CCU, MICU, ED, and the Burn Unit, as well as Norton Immediate Care Centers. In addition to providing care, he serves as Town Family Doctor’s office manager, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient service.

Our services cover a full range of family medicine needs, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric care. We offer on-site spirometry, ECG, point-of-care testing for COVID-19, strep, RSV, flu, mono, urine abnormalities, cancer gene screening, and the Galleri cancer detection test. We also provide minor surgical interventions such as suturing, mole and skin tag removal, wound care, and PAP smears, as well as skin analysis, nutrition counseling, pediatric vaccinations, joint aspirations and injections, DOT/CDL physicals, sports physicals, vitamin B12 injections, and more. Prescriptions are sent electronically for convenience, and patients enjoy secure 24/7 access to records and results through our Patient Portal.

FAQ

Will I be charged if I cancel my appointment in time?

No, appointments cancelled 24 hours in advance and earlier will not be charged the fee. However, if you are a no show for your appointment or you cancel the appointment the day of, a standard fee of $60 will be applied to your account. This fee can be waived if a reason for not showing up or a late cancellation is valid. We reserve the right to decide which reason is valid and which is not.

If I am a new patient, can I be seen for a simple issue like an upper respiratory infection without going through the new patient assessment?

Yes, we do accept walk-in patients. The new patient assessment would be postponed until the patient decides to have us as his/her primary care provider.

What is a hybrid medical practice, and how does it work at Town Family Doctor?
